LetterJames - good e-cards.

Generator Blog - I've used Motivational Poster before. This time I tried the Brain Scan for Palomino.

FD Toys - lots of options. I used SimpsonizeMe to create a gift a couple months ago.

Finding Feeds

My favorite was the Technorati tutorial. It starts in Dutch. Clicking on English helps a little. Hans has a very strong accent. This is a great tool for searching for specific blogs (tags/topics). It can also help you assign tags for your blog.

I got impatient with Syndic 8. It was very slow to I quit trying.

I like the look of Topix.net and the access it provides to news and media feeds. I might use it for 2008 Election info.

RSS

I might use RSS to manage the massive amount of information available.

One way libraries could use RSS is to keep customers informed about library info specific to the customer's interests/needs.

I am not including my public bloglines url because I left my account private. If it was public it would probably be http://www.bloglines.com/public/cswanson or anonymous.

Technology Thoughts

Technology allows us to do so many great things.

However, there is a down side.
  • Technology is expensive and becomes obsolete quickly.
  • The lack of standards makes it difficult on several levels.
  • We become dependent on the undependable.
  • Technology is wonderful - when it works. Unfortunately the race for the new gadget/application has given us inferior products.

I could go on and on, but I won't.

Flickr

So many choices, so little time. The first mashup that caught my eye was montager. I think it would be neat to make a mosaic of vacation photos and frame it.

Easter Candy

The best Easter candy is the caramel Cadbury egg. Even the dog agrees with me.

7 Habits

1. Begin with the end in mind - if you know where you're going you might just get there.
